Pride and Open & Affirming

No doubt you have heard the words “No matter who you are or where you are on your faith and life journey, you are welcome here!” at the beginning of each worship service at the First Congregational Church of Albuquerque.  It may be that those very words convinced you to join, to get more involved, or to invite a friend looking for a welcoming and affirming faith community.  This year, we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary as an Open and Affirming congregation.  And to do it in style, we are forming a committee, not just for PRIDE month but all year long. 

There will be opportunities to march in the Albuquerque PRIDE Parade on June 13th, sing in our PRIDE choir that Ruth is organizing, and other events throughout the year.  If making a commitment for a full year doesn’t work with your schedule, you can join as an adhoc member and help with the events you envision or can make a commitment to.

In typical FCCA style, EVERYONE is invited to participate in this committee.  If interested, please contact Patty Ebner.
