Building & Grounds
Mission
The Building and Grounds Committee is responsible for the maintenance and planned upgrades of the church buildings and grounds under the direction of the Chair of the committee.
Volunteers work on landscaping and interior church building projects to maintain the beauty of the 1950’s era campus and buildings.
We are proud to partner with New Mexico/El Paso Interfaith Power and Light as a covenant congregation. Their Cool Congregation committee gave our building a free energy audit. Working with their recommendations, we put LED bulbs in all our light fixtures, added solar panels to our roof, and are now installing new energy-efficient heating and cooling. In 2024, we received a Seed Grant for our commitment to be stewards of God’s creation through adopting energy efficiency and a PV solar array.

Solar Energy Savings
During 2024, our building completed a solar energy panel roof installation with the assistance of energy savings rebates at the state and federal level. See our Monthly Solar Savings Report here.
