Community Faith Development
We are guided by the UCC definition of faith development as an engaged process of learning and practice integrated throughout all aspects of congregational and daily life, emphasizing knowledge and experience.
Our Mission:
To support faith formation through adult and inter generational activities and education for our community, families and friends. Read thoughts from the Faith Development Chair.
Our Community:
Our Ministry Team generates opportunities for our members to explore and understand how inclusive Christian faith is formed and sustained.
We encourage learning together by sharing personal and communal stories to enrich our lives and expand our world.
We provide activities for all ages to explore faith related education and diversity through interpersonal exchange, arts, celebrations and fun!
Community Faith Development News:
Community Circles are brewing. Here are some of the topics proposed so far: Parenting, Mental Health, LGBTQ, Spiritual Growth, Ongoing Book Group, Yarn Crafts, Civil Disobedience.
If you are interested in one of these, or perhaps another topic, reach out to our email address: welcome@firstuccabq.org As interest in circling grows, we’ll form specialty circles. This is a work in progress. We’re planting the seed, and watching to see what grows.
