Nursery

  • 6 weeks to 5 years old

  • Our nursery is currently open for in person worship on Sunday mornings. We have two wonderful staff and lovely nursery room full of toys. Feel free to check out our nursery and meet our staff to see how we can support your family in attending the worship service.

Sunday School

  • Pre-K through 12th grade

  • Our in-person Sunday School program is focusing on intergenerational opportunities for learning. 

Youth Group

We have a vibrant Youth Group who are pursuing opportunities for service, learning, and FUN! 

Confirmation Program

  • A Confirmation Program is offered when the need arises for older children to learn about the United Church of Christ and potentially choose to join the church as members.

Children, Youth and Family News

The April Southwest Conference Annual Meeting approved a motion to hire a Conference Director of Children, Youth, and Families to support our church’s ministry with these folks so we look forward to seeing that unfold!

Young Adult(18+) ‍

YA Text Study: Text Study is typically held on two Wednesday evenings per month at 7:00pm in the Library, bring snacks to share! ‍Confirm on FCUCC Calendar.

YA Table Top: Young adults, there is a tabletop gaming experience in the youth room upstairs typically every Sunday after 2:00pm, if interested contact us.

Updates -

July 12th: 2:00pm Tabletop game after service for Children ages 9+
July 26th: We want to invite children, youth and family to put together care baskets after service.

Our youth ministry has gone through many iterations over the past three years. At one point, we only had about two to three kids a Sunday. That is certainly not the case any longer.

Many of those who have been with us, are growing up, and the larger demographic we have now is late elementary school and middle school. This means Sunday school has to change to accommodate that.

CYFM and Faith Development are working on something for everyone, hopefully coming to you around the start of the school year. We want children involved in worship in a more significant way. This is important to me personally because the decolonial aspect of youth involvement, this is not just about serving the needs of the children, but about a collective effort to decenter whiteness in worship in a “seen but not heard” pervasive church culture

Expect updates and changes to the Prayground (the children’s area to the back of the sanctuary) and even changes in worship in the coming months. How exciting!
