Family Promise of Albuquerque Mission

“Family Promise of Albuquerque coordinates the compassion of our staff and volunteers to address the root causes of family homelessness. We address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent. We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.”

First Congregational United Church of Christ Activities with Family Promise

FCUCC active participation has increased in our congregation in 2024 and 2025 as well as with our renewed partnership at St Tim’s. 

In the past year we have: 

• provided four weeks of meals, hosting, and donations of requested meals and dry goods;

• donated additional fresh meals after fellowship;

• working with St Tim’s, we had a record-breaking attendance at the yearly fundraiser, Sweet Jazz; 

• helped to provide meals, hosting, and supplies for two weeks when Family Promise did not have a congregation scheduled; and

• sponsored two families at Christmas with requested gifts for parents and children.
