Jocelyn Emerson is a UCC minister and member of our church. She has created a Holy Week retreat:
Our lives are so busy. Our time gets filled up! We get up each morning and by the end of the day, we are exhausted. Where is the time to pay attention to Spirit, to the Sacred? How can we find the time to deepen our relationship with the Holy?
Retreat in Everyday Life teaches us how to carve time out for retreats right where we are. No need to go away to a retreat center. No need to take vacation days. No need to spend lots of money. A Retreat in Everyday Life incorporates into our day to day life.
Praying Holy Week invites the participants into a deep spiritual experience walking alongside Jesus during his final week as a human on Earth. Each day of the devotional offers a Sacred Text, a theme, an image reflecting the theme, a devotional, reflection questions, an invitation to walk the labyrinth, and a closing prayer.
The fact that you are reading this, discerning engaging in this specific Retreat in Everyday Life says you are seeking something more, some way to connect deeper this Holy Week to the Sacred, to Jesus’ journey. Something has pulled you here, to this, this year, right now. Great Spirit is calling, beckoning you.
